1. Back up your MyBB forum files and database.
2. Extract the ZIP directly into the forum root, merging the included inc and jscripts directories. The archive does not contain an Upload wrapper.
3. Open Admin CP → Configuration → Plugins, then install and activate CineBoard.
4. Grant “Can manage CineBoard?” to the Admin CP groups that should manage the catalogue.
5. Open Configuration → Settings → CineBoard and configure your own TMDB read-access token or API key. An OMDb key is optional.
6. Open Configuration → CineBoard → Synchronization, run Sync now, and enable the movie homepage after the first successful sync.

API use: CineBoard uses the site owner’s own TMDB credentials to retrieve movie metadata, artwork, genres, ratings, release information, videos, and discovery results for display inside a self-hosted MyBB forum. Requests run during scheduled or administrator-initiated synchronisation and the resulting metadata is cached locally; ordinary visitor page views do not call TMDB. Environment or server configuration via CINEBOARD_TMDB_TOKEN is preferred, with a database fallback available. OMDb is optional and used only for administrator-initiated imports. CineBoard does not search for, proxy, download, host, or provide films. It can show official trailers and administrator-supplied authorised YouTube, YouTube No-Cookie, or Vimeo embeds. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
